VILLA BOFFO - BIOENERGETIC GARDEN FOR ALZHEIMER
THERAPEUTIC BIOENERGETIC GARDEN OF " VILLA BOFFO"
BIELLA, ITALY
"THE MEMORIES ARE ENCLOSED IN THE FLOWERS"
Villa Boffo is a prestigious center inaugurated in Biella (Piedmont, Italy) in September 2017, dedicated to hosting people with cognitive impairment and especially their families with an innovative and experimental way. In fact, the Dutch model for the treatment of Alzheimer's is not based on hospitalization but on a network of services and people able to take care of patients in the round, right from the first symptoms of the disease, trying to guarantee them, the most long as possible, a normal life. At Villa Boffo, people who want to maintain control and the quality of their life can turn to the first symptoms. This multifunctional space has been designed to offer a bioenergetic garden designed specifically for the guests of the structure.
The garden is an accessible space in a urban area that offers the possibility of experiencing a very close and deep contact with nature, through sensory, physical and energetic stimulations. The aim is to encourage the perception of users, to reactivate and keep aware contact with the surrounding physical world and to help socialization, bringing an effective and demonstrable contribution to support the health of people who walk, stop or apply themselves to various manual and cognitive activities.
